Purchaser – Plant‑Based Ingredients

About the role

Glow Food, a fast‑casual plant‑based restaurant chain, is looking for a full‑time Purchaser to be based in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and procuring the high‑quality ingredients and supplies that keep the menu nutritious, sustainable and consistent.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and qualify new suppliers of plant‑based foods, packaging and operational items.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts to achieve cost‑effective purchasing.
• Create, issue and track purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels, forecast demand and collaborate with kitchen and operations teams to prevent stock‑outs.
• Monitor market trends, price fluctuations and regulatory requirements specific to Singapore’s F&B sector.
• Continuously improve procurement processes, record‑keeping and sustainability practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing within food‑and‑beverage, hospitality or retail environments.
• Strong understanding of plant‑based food products and sustainable sourcing is a plus.
• Experience with Singapore’s F&B supply market and relevant regulations is advantageous.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Required skills

• Familiarity with purchasing and inventory management software.
• Competence in spreadsheet tools and basic data analysis.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
