Quantity Surveyor (Construction)

About the role

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to lead the preparation and submission of progress claims, cost estimates, and tender documents for construction projects. The role involves close collaboration with clients, consultants, contractors and internal project teams to ensure commercial and contractual matters are handled accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, submit and follow up on monthly progress claims.
• Assess completed work and compile supporting documentation for claim submissions.
• Develop cost estimates, quotations, tender documents and manage contract tender submissions.
• Review tender requirements, drawings, specifications and bills of quantities.
• Conduct quantity take‑offs and produce project cost breakdowns.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Prepare and assess variation orders, additional work claims and final accounts.
• Verify subcontractor progress claims and recommend payments.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and project teams on commercial and contractual issues.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, claims, variations and project correspondence.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in construction progress claims and tender submissions.
• Good knowledge of construction contracts, costing and quantity measurement.
• Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
