Quantity Surveyor – Construction Project Support

About the role

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support the procurement, measurement and contract administration of construction projects. The role involves assisting the project team in material purchasing, supplier selection and preparing progress payment requests. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost reporting and timely payments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in purchasing all project work materials identified in the tender, ensuring compliance with specifications and budgetary constraints.
• Evaluate and select competent suppliers and subcontractors for construction works, contributing to a reliable supply chain.
• Measure and determine work quantities at any construction stage to prepare periodic progress payment requests for submission to the client.
• Check and evaluate progress claims submitted by subcontractors in liaison with the Project Manager, verifying that quantities and quality align with the work performed.
• Carry out contract administration duties throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Assist in the settlement of final accounts with clients, suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring all financial obligations are met.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering (Civil) or Diploma in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working for a main contractor.
