Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will manage the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects, ensuring accurate cost estimation, budgeting and procurement throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee tender and contract document administration, including preparation of bills of quantities, variation orders and cost estimates.
• Take off quantities, source subcontractors and suppliers, price items and prepare submission documents.
• Negotiate and procure materials and equipment during project execution.
• Generate cash‑flow forecasts, handle project claims and monitor cost control.
• Review and analyse key performance indicators and propose improvement actions.
• Support additional Quantity Surveyor duties as assigned by senior management.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in quantity surveying, cost estimating or a related construction finance role.
• Proven ability to work with strict budgets and perform financial analysis.
• Strong numerical aptitude and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Capability to manage multiple tenders and projects simultaneously.
• Good understanding of construction materials, pricing and industry standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with spreadsheets for cost calculations.
• Experience in cost estimating and budgeting.
• Cash‑flow management.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
