Quantity Surveyor (Junior Executive)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team in Singapore. The role involves managing costs throughout the project lifecycle, from tender preparation to final account settlement, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Take off quantities, source subcontractors and suppliers, and prepare tender submissions.
• Prepare and evaluate price comparisons, bid analysis and costing summaries.
• Develop cost‑reduction and value‑engineering strategies and monitor project budgets.
• Conduct commercial negotiations with contractors and subcontractors.
• Prepare and manage interim valuations, progress claims, contract variations and final accounts.
• Update and track claim submissions and liaise with consultants, contractors and management on contractual matters.
• Identify value‑engineering opportunities and quantify potential savings.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the building and construction industry (candidates with less experience are also welcome).
• Strong experience in quantity take‑off, tendering, costing and subcontractor procurement.
• Hands‑on experience with interim valuations, variations, claims and final accounts.
• Good knowledge of construction contracts and contract administration.
• Excellent commercial, negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
