R&D Engineer

About the role

Join Moveon Technologies as an R&D Engineer and contribute to cutting‑edge projects in micro‑optics, nano‑technologies, and advanced manufacturing. You will work closely with senior engineers and researchers to turn innovative concepts into high‑volume production.

Key responsibilities

• Support new product development and production transfer.
• Develop and optimise manufacturing processes for quality, yield, cost and robustness.
• Plan and execute Design of Experiments (DOE) and engineering trials to define process windows.
• Evaluate and qualify new or alternative materials and suppliers.
• Troubleshoot product and process issues, performing root‑cause analysis.
• Lead equipment and process qualification/validation activities.
• Analyse experimental data and provide technical recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to resolve technical challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement in process capability, yield, cycle time and cost.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Materials Science or a related technical discipline.
• 1‑3 years of experience in R&D, process engineering, product development or manufacturing.
• Hands‑on experience with new product development, DOE, process optimisation and troubleshooting.
• Experience in material evaluation and equipment/process qualification.
• Knowledge of SPC, process capability, FMEA and structured problem‑solving.
• Strong analytical, communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
