Propulsion & Alignment Engineer

About the role

Join On Site Alignment as a Propulsion & Alignment Engineer (Marine Service Engineer) to troubleshoot, align, and install critical rotating machinery onboard vessels across Southeast Asia, providing hands‑on mechanical expertise and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, align, and install rotating machinery such as main engines, generators, and gearboxes onboard vessels.
• Perform stern‑tube bearing repairs, bearing and coupling replacements, and machinery alignment using shims or chockfast.
• Conduct vibration measurement and analysis to support maintenance and repair activities.
• Liaise directly with customers on site to understand requirements and provide technical support.
• Prepare detailed service reports documenting work performed and recommendations.
• Adapt to changing demands and work conditions in the Southeast Asia region, demonstrating flexibility and problem‑solving skills.

Required profile

• Hands‑on mechanical experience working onboard vessels.
• Mechanical background relevant to marine rotating equipment.

Required skills

• Experience with alignment measurement tools.
• Vibration measurement and analysis.
