Regional Business Controller

About the role

Blue Water Shipping is seeking a Regional Business Controller to support its offices across Asia, Oceania, the Middle East and Africa. You will provide strategic financial insights, optimise processes, and act as a trusted advisor to senior management and operational teams. The role can be based in Singapore, Shanghai, Brisbane or Esbjerg.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting for regional offices, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery of dashboards and KPIs.
• Evaluate and redesign finance and operational processes to eliminate bottlenecks and automate repetitive tasks.
• Monitor regional performance metrics, conduct variance analysis and work with country managers to implement corrective actions.
• Build strong relationships with office managers and operational teams, translating financial data into clear, actionable insights.
• Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration between finance and operations, aligning goals and promoting technology‑driven improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance controlling within a multinational or logistics environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex financial concepts to non‑financial stakeholders.
• Ability to work closely with senior management and cross‑functional teams.
• Experience in freight forwarding or shipping is a plus.
