Regional Legal Counsel

About the role

Ninja Van, a fast‑growing tech‑enabled logistics provider in Southeast Asia, is seeking a Regional Legal Counsel to guide senior management on legal and compliance matters across its business units. The role will lead strategic legal projects, support fundraising activities, and ensure robust contract governance throughout the region.

Key responsibilities

• Advising, negotiating and managing contracts with partnership shippers and key accounts.
• Leading the legal workstream for fundraising and financing initiatives.
• Designing, implementing and monitoring compliance policies, including data‑protection requirements.
• Overseeing corporate legal structure and corporate secretarial compliance.
• Managing contracting processes and the NV Group Contracting Policy.
• Providing counsel on dispute resolution and handling material disputes.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years post‑qualification legal experience.
• At least 3 years drafting, negotiating and managing complex multi‑country or regional service agreements.
• Proven track record designing and implementing legal policies and identifying/prioritising risks.
• Strong negotiation and advocacy abilities.
• LL.B. or J.D. from a reputable university in Singapore, England, Australia, Hong Kong or another major common‑law jurisdiction; admission to the Singapore Bar preferred (candidates admitted elsewhere may apply).
