Research Fellow - AI Digital Design (Computer Engineering/CS/Electronics)

About the role

Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore's College of Computing and Data Science is hiring a Research Fellow in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electronics Engineering. The role sits within the College's focus on AI, data science and computing, and involves working with research and engineering teams to bring AI-based digital design solutions into software systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and integrate AI-based digital design solutions into existing and new software systems
• Analyse current digital design flows, libraries and system architectures to identify upgrade paths for AI augmentation
• Design, implement and test AI models with integrated protocols or frameworks
• Evaluate the performance, interoperability and security implications of replacing classical EDA flows
• Support technical documentation, migration roadmaps and user integration guides for internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with industry partners such as EDA companies and semiconductor design houses to deploy AI-augmented solutions
• Work with the commercialization team on high TRL productization and technology transfer
• Contribute to research papers, technical reports, specifications and presentations for internal reviews and external conferences or journals

Required profile

• Preferably a PhD in computer engineering, computer science, electronics engineering or an equivalent
• In-depth knowledge of the project domain
• Demonstrated capability to conduct innovative research and technology transfer
• Ability to initiate collaboration research in a multidisciplinary team and to adapt to novel approaches in deep-tech industry
• Ability to oversee and report project progress, and to work some flexible hours
