Research Fellow - Reminiscence Project

About the role

Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) is looking for a Research Fellow to work closely with the Head of the Gerontology Programme (Master and PhD). The fellow will carry out the longitudinal study of the reminiscence project across Singapore and Asia, focusing on programme evaluation, data collection and management, report writing and the micro-job arrangements for seniors involved in the programme.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the research development, execution and data management of the reminiscence project.
• Manage data collection, analysis and reporting for stakeholders and funders.
• Lead the research team in consolidating research data, presentations and reports.
• Write reports and support publications.
• Facilitate the arrangement and management of micro-jobs for seniors in the programme.
• Perform other duties as required.

Required profile

• Master's degree or PhD in Gerontology, Social Work, Public Health, Sociology or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in eldercare or community-based programmes.
• Strong understanding of the socio-economic landscape of ageing populations and reminiscence in aged care, and interest in reminiscence facilitation (priority).
• Proven experience in project management, programme evaluation and report writing.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, able to work independently and collaboratively, with excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills.
• Willing to travel.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SPSS and NVIVO.
• Experience with research tools is a plus.
