Resident Technical Officer (RTO) – Civil & Structural

About the role

The Resident Technical Officer (RTO) will be responsible for overseeing civil and structural works on site, ensuring that all activities meet the required engineering standards and safety regulations. This position reports to the project management team and works closely with contractors and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑site inspections of civil and structural components.
• Verify that construction activities comply with design specifications and relevant codes.
• Document inspection findings and prepare reports for project stakeholders.
• Coordinate with contractors to address non‑conformities and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of certifications, inspections, and quality control procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering, registrable as Resident Technical Officer with IES/ACES.
• Minimum of three (3) years of field inspection experience in civil and structural projects.
• Valid Structural Steel Supervisor (StS) certificate.
• Valid BCSS (Building Construction Supervision Scheme) certificate.

Required skills
