Sales Analyst – Pilbara Sales & Spot Execution

About the role

Rio Tinto is seeking a Sales Analyst to support Pilbara sales planning and spot sales execution. Based in Singapore, you will work closely with senior commercial leaders and product groups, providing data‑driven insights that shape the business strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Support spot‑desk execution of bilateral sales and tenders, contributing ideas to increase value realization.
• Consolidate bids and offers to aid tender outcome evaluation.
• Maintain and improve the spot sales register database and related e‑tender systems.
• Manage Pilbara demand databases, analyse key sales and customer data, and assist in demand‑planning system development.
• Coordinate with scheduling, operations, technical marketing and commercial teams to ensure smooth execution of contracted shipments.
• Monitor shipment plans, vessel schedules and operational risks, providing timely updates to customers.
• Handle contract administration under guidance from the Principal Adviser, Sales & Negotiation.

Required profile

• Recognised university degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in commodities sales operations.
• Commercial experience in the commodities sector is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with multiple senior stakeholders.
