Sales Engineer – Telecommunications

About the role

Jobline is hiring a Sales Engineer to identify and assess business opportunities and shape go-to-market initiatives across ASEAN. The role involves building partnerships with technology and business partners, engaging customers on their technical needs, leading presales technical work and preparing solution proposals and tender responses.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess business opportunities, evaluate market potential and shape go-to-market initiatives across ASEAN
• Build relationships with technology and business partners and develop joint business plans and value propositions
• Understand customers' business and technical requirements and turn them into tailored solutions
• Lead the technical side of presales: solution design, technical guidance and end-to-end architecture support
• Plan and run customer demonstrations, trials and proof-of-concept activities
• Evaluate project viability through financial feasibility assessments, market research and business planning
• Prepare solution proposals, cost estimates, bills of materials and technical compliance matrices
• Work with internal stakeholders on competitive, compliant responses to tenders, RFIs and RFQs
• Provide technical context to ensure a smooth handover to project delivery and implementation teams

Required profile

• 5-8 years of experience as a Sales Engineer in the telecommunications or ICT sector
• Expertise in 4G/5G radio access networks (RAN), distributed antenna systems (DAS) and indoor coverage solutions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to explain value propositions and solutions clearly to customers
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and basic knowledge of project financial analysis and reporting
• Outgoing, self-motivated and independent, with strong relationship-building skills
• Experience managing projects across ASEAN markets is a distinct advantage
• Technical knowledge of 5G small cells is helpful; entry-level sales candidates are welcome to apply
