Semicon Manufacturing Director

About the role

The Semicon Manufacturing Director will lead the wafer fabrication operations, driving process improvements, equipment optimisation and strategic initiatives to boost productivity, quality and efficiency. This senior position reports directly to senior management and is responsible for delivering on‑time output in a high‑mix semiconductor environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach Manufacturing Specialists and Supervisors to meet productivity and operational targets.
• Minimise quality excursions, IRR, rework and scrap through disciplined manufacturing practices.
• Manage work‑in‑process movement to achieve daily output and on‑time delivery goals.
• Oversee BOM planning, reticle and stencil management.
• Implement manufacturing systems such as RMS, barcode and RFID to improve traceability and reduce manual errors.
• Ensure compliance with fab safety standards.
• Plan and coordinate equipment installation, upgrades and facility improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the fab.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering with at least 5 years supervisory experience in a semiconductor fab, or a Diploma with at least 10 years relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes (eWLB, WLB, WLD) and related process technology.
• Proven leadership, problem‑solving and continuous‑improvement capabilities.
