Senior Advisor, Procurement (Commodity Management)

Senior Advisor, Procurement (Commodity Management) at Dell Technologies leads a fast‑paced professional life, developing sourcing strategies that align with Dell’s overall strategy and Global Operations. The role is based in Singapore and focuses on optimizing supply‑chain strategies across multiple programs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supplier relationships: strengthen ties, identify gaps against Dell requirements, and collaborate to close them.
• Lead sourcing activities: work with product groups, supply‑chain managers and front‑end teams to define goals, create RFQ packages, analyse proposals, negotiate and recommend business awards.
• Drive cost management: set aggressive yet realistic cost targets, analyse gaps, develop corrective actions, provide risk and opportunity outlooks, and partner with financial controllers.
• Develop and deploy cost‑management and sourcing toolkits: understand existing tools, enhance them and apply them in sourcing and cost‑management projects.
• Roll out best‑in‑class processes: identify process gaps, propose improvements, gain alignment and implement enhancements.
• Collaborate internationally: engage stakeholders across US and Asian time zones while maintaining a healthy work‑life balance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• Over 6 years of progressive procurement experience, including at least 4 years in cost management and sourcing.
• Proven ability to build strong supplier and internal relationships.
• Confidence in cost modelling for areas such as mechanical stamping of stainless‑steel parts, injection molding of plastics, PCBA manufacturing, and related market‑trend analysis.
• Experience applying various cost‑management techniques to sourcing activities.
