Senior Architect – Data Centre & Mission‑Critical Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Architect to lead the design and delivery of data‑centre and mission‑critical projects. The role covers the full lifecycle from concept through construction, working closely with clients, consultants and multidisciplinary teams to create high‑performance facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architectural design, site planning and spatial layout for data‑centre projects, ensuring operational efficiency, cooling strategies and maintenance access.
• Prepare and review architectural drawings, specifications, construction documents and permit submissions, and present feasibility studies and design proposals to stakeholders.
• Coordinate architectural solutions with MEP, structural, civil and fire‑protection systems, managing project timelines, budgets and milestones.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations and data‑centre standards such as UBBL, BOMBA, NFPA, FM Global and Uptime Institute Tier requirements.
• Provide on‑site construction support to verify design intent and mentor junior architects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (ARB/RIBA accredited or equivalent); Part III or full professional registration preferred.
• Minimum 8 years post‑qualification experience in architectural design of data‑centre, mission‑critical or large‑scale commercial facilities, gained in a consultancy environment.
• Singapore citizenship or permanent residency.
• Fluent English communication, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Revit/BIM and AutoCAD.
• Experience with Navisworks or other BIM coordination tools.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, fire‑safety regulations and data‑centre design standards (Uptime Institute Tier, EN 50600).
