Senior Architect

About the role

The Senior Architect will lead the conceptual design through to implementation and handover, ensuring compliance with local authority codes and sustainability targets. This role bridges design, construction, and commissioning phases for fast‑track, high‑tech projects.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Work Package Owner, driving package progress to completion and final handover.
• Develop designs in line with the Design Checklist and produce tender documentation, including specifications and schedules.
• Chair sub‑contractor progress meetings and weekly client meetings for the Architectural Department.
• Coordinate with QA/QC and Quality Assurance engineers to align supervision goals with specifications.
• Assume Lead Architect duties when required and mentor junior architects.
• Provide approved plans and shop drawings to the Architectural System Supervisor and brief them on scope and contractual revisions.
• Promote safe working practices and uphold company interests throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to operational excellence initiatives such as Knowledge Centre, digital tools, lessons learned, and sustainability programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Architecture (preferably BOA‑accredited) or Bachelor of Science Architecture (Hons).
• 7–8 years of professional architectural experience, including at least 2 years on fast‑track projects.
• Three years of international experience in high‑tech or multi‑discipline construction.
• Proven experience in leading architectural design for semiconductor, sustainable energy, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or biotech projects.
