Senior Assistant Manager, Student Sports

About the role

The Student and Academic Services Department at NTU seeks a Senior Assistant Manager to lead and enhance its student‑sports ecosystem. You will work closely with internal schools and external partners to support high‑performance athletes and manage student sports organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage relationships with external stakeholders such as Singapore Sports School, the High Performance Sport Institute and national sport associations.
• Coordinate athlete recruitment, admissions support, funding programmes and academic accommodations for high‑performance student‑athletes.
• Maintain a database of prospective athletes, monitor progress and facilitate support services.
• Plan and execute university, inter‑varsity and national sporting events, including major events like the ASEAN University Games.
• Oversee operations of varsity teams and recreational sports clubs, guiding student leaders in governance and programme planning.
• Ensure compliance with university policies, safety standards and risk‑management procedures.

Required profile

• Degree in Sports Science, Sports Management or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in student affairs, sports administration, programme management or stakeholder engagement.
• Strong stakeholder management and partnership‑building capabilities.
• Experience managing events, programmes and operational activities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple university units.
