Senior Buyer

About the role

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Senior Buyer to manage procurement of complex materials and commodities, supporting our global manufacturing customers and ensuring reliable supply chains.

Key responsibilities

• Procure assigned materials and commodities of moderate to high complexity, following all relevant procedures.
• Maintain supplier records and system data, ensuring accuracy of price, lead time, and lot size information in the MRP system.
• Conduct basic Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis and support commodity strategy development.
• Process purchase requisitions, clarify specifications with internal departments, and coordinate with development, engineering, marketing, quality, production, legal and finance teams.
• Represent Rockwell Automation in supplier meetings, presenting material specifications, pricing, delivery commitments, and resolving quality or contractual issues.
• Identify alternate sources of supply and assist in resolving requisition accuracy, on‑time delivery, and payment issues.

Required profile

• Experience applying basic purchasing principles and theories.
• Ability to analyze data and resolve routine procurement issues.
• Strong communication skills for cross‑functional coordination and supplier interaction.
