Senior Cost Manager – Data Centre Construction

About the role

Linesight is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to lead cost management activities for data centre construction projects. You will work with diverse, experienced teams, influencing project financial outcomes from tender through to final account settlement while supporting business strategy and client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the tender and bid process, preparing documentation, analysing offers and reporting findings.
• Manage change orders, including identification, analysis, approval and implementation of cost impacts.
• Prepare estimates, cost plans and valuations for key client developments.
• Oversee project spend, produce cost reports and communicate variations to stakeholders.
• Support project management decisions with accurate cost documentation and timely communication.
• Assist in resolving construction disputes, loss and expense claims with transparency.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Cost Manager, preferably within a consultancy environment.
• Background in pre‑contract cost management, budget control and cost planning.
• Chartered status or progression towards chartership (support available).
• Degree or equivalent experience in construction, project management or related discipline.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
