Senior Cyber Defence Engineer – Threat Intel & Response

About the role

We are looking for a senior, hands‑on cyber‑defence engineer to own and evolve our detection and response capabilities. You will act as the technical authority for threat intelligence, incident response and cloud security, turning attacker insights into actionable controls.

Key responsibilities

• Transform external threat intelligence into immediate defensive actions across endpoints, identities and cloud workloads.
• Lead end‑to‑end incident response, analysing EDR telemetry, logs and cloud traces to eradicate threats and document learnings.
• Proactively hunt for attacker behaviours, author and test detections, and close gaps before alerts fire.
• Secure AWS, Azure and GCP environments by analysing CloudTrail, Entra ID and audit logs, and remediating risky permissions.
• Take down phishing sites, fake domains and malicious infrastructure through reverse‑engineering and evidence packaging.
• Prioritise and validate vulnerabilities, linking exploit chatter to real exposure and driving remediation of weaponised zero‑days.
• Continuously improve the security stack by hardening EDR/SIEM, automating response steps and writing playbooks.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of hands‑on experience in incident response, threat hunting or cyber‑threat intelligence.
• Proven track record of solo incident handling and delivering detection logic.
• Deep expertise with modern EDR platforms, preferably CrowdStrike.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security across AWS, Azure and GCP.
