Senior Indirect Procurement Executive (APAC)

About the role

Symrise is seeking a Senior Indirect Procurement Executive to support its Singapore operations. The role will ensure the supply of indirect materials and services, manage supplier qualifications, and drive procurement initiatives across the APAC region.

Key responsibilities

• Engage Singapore Operations on freight procurement (air, ocean, land) and other indirect spend categories.
• Identify and implement improvement opportunities to reduce total cost of ownership and increase speed.
• Develop and drive action plans with clear priorities, timelines, and progress tracking.
• Resolve material and service supply interruptions promptly.
• Lead contracting activities including sourcing events, negotiations, contract execution, and renewals.
• Improve supplier base security by enhancing source approval, quality, lead times, packaging, and minimum order quantities.
• Develop a pipeline of Singapore procurement initiatives, especially in freight procurement.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Industrialisation & Process Innovation, and Technical teams on packaging quality and new source qualification.
• Conduct annual supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with quality policies.
• Lead RFQ/tender processes: prepare documents, brief suppliers, evaluate submissions, and negotiate pricing and terms.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in indirect procurement, particularly freight (air, ocean, land) and services.
• Proven ability to manage supplier qualifications, certifications, and performance.
• Strong analytical skills to identify cost‑saving and efficiency opportunities.
• Experience developing and executing contracting and tender processes.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams such as QA and technical departments.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.
