Senior IT Helpdesk Engineer, IT Services

About the role

Amazon is looking for a Senior IT Helpdesk Engineer to provide on‑site, end‑to‑end technical support for its corporate employees in Singapore. You will act as a trusted advisor, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues while ensuring a secure and uninterrupted work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver hands‑on on‑site support, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software incidents.
• Evaluate log files and system health to proactively identify problems.
• Maintain and oversee IT asset inventories.
• Manage the ticket queue, keeping users informed of progress and resolution.
• Provide on‑call support for high‑severity incidents and serve as an escalation point.
• Assist in triaging and escalating network or system outages to minimise downtime.
• Execute change‑management activities in a high‑availability environment.
• Collaborate with partner teams and vendors on continuous improvement projects.
• Participate in hiring, training and mentoring of new team members.
• Travel between local office buildings and occasional travel to other cities as needed.

Required profile

• Authorized to work in Singapore without sponsorship.
• 5‑8 years of relevant experience in IT support or helpdesk roles.
• Advanced understanding of IT standards, systems and equipment deployed in a large enterprise.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong mentorship and escalation handling capabilities.
