Senior IT Security Officer – Cybersecurity Operations

About the role

The Senior IT Security Officer will lead operational cybersecurity activities, ensuring the organization’s systems, cloud platforms, and development pipelines remain secure. You will work closely with engineering, product, and incident response teams to drive security improvements and support compliance initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Produce routine security reports and dashboards, leveraging automation for efficiency.
• Review VAPT findings, validate vulnerabilities, and contribute to remediation planning.
• Refine incident‑response playbooks, support alert triage, and assist investigations across SIEM and EDR platforms.
• Apply security standards to CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, and cloud environments.
• Conduct IAM role reviews to enforce least‑privilege access.
• Participate in threat‑modelling exercises and translate policy requirements into technical controls.
• Develop proof‑of‑concepts and security features that balance performance, maintainability, and risk.
• Research emerging tools, run lab tests, and share findings with the team.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in security architecture, secure system design, and threat modelling.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and escalate complex issues when needed.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Required skills

• Python and Bash scripting for security tooling and automation.
• Experience securing CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud‑native security monitoring, SIEM and EDR solutions.
• Understanding of IAM, secrets management, and zero‑trust principles.
• Hands‑on experience with vulnerability validation and remediation.
