Senior Manager Distribution Center Operations

About the role

The Senior Manager, Distribution Centre (DC) Operations leads end‑to‑end warehouse and transportation activities for DKSH, ensuring safe, efficient and cost‑effective service delivery. This senior position partners with multiple business functions to align operational capabilities with growth objectives while fostering a strong safety and continuous‑improvement culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with business units, customers, suppliers, transport providers and cross‑functional teams; act as escalation point for operational issues.
• Lead inbound, outbound, inventory, value‑added services and transport coordination to meet on‑time, in‑full delivery targets.
• Monitor performance against service level agreements and implement corrective actions.
• Drive standardisation and compliance with SOPs, GDP, GMP, ISO standards and internal quality requirements.
• Lead Lean, Kaizen, automation and process‑optimisation projects, establishing KPIs and dashboards for labour efficiency and operational effectiveness.
• Plan short‑, medium‑ and long‑term workforce needs, succession planning and resource allocation.
• Oversee DC space utilisation, layout improvements and automation opportunities.
• Coach and develop managers, supervisors and operational teams, conducting performance reviews and talent assessments.
• Champion a proactive safety culture, leading audits, inspections and incident investigations to achieve zero lost‑time injuries.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in warehouse and transportation operations within a supply‑chain environment.
• Strong stakeholder‑management and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, cross‑functional teams and drive cultural change.
• Track record of implementing continuous‑improvement methodologies (Lean, Kaizen) and automation projects.
• Experience with workforce planning, succession planning and talent development.
