Senior Mechanical Engineer – Data Center Projects

About the role

Arup Singapore is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of mechanical and HVAC systems for data centre projects. You will work within a collaborative MEP team, contributing to both project delivery and the strategic growth of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed design models and simulations for mechanical and HVAC systems in data centre environments.
• Design complex cooling, ventilation, and fire‑suppression systems tailored to data centre requirements.
• Drive innovation in HVAC, plumbing, and fire‑protection designs using cutting‑edge technologies.
• Manage project activities to align with strategic objectives and resolve technical conflicts.
• Mentor junior engineers and represent the team in internal and client‑facing meetings.
• Take primary responsibility for designated design segments, ensuring high quality and precision.

Required profile

• Recognised tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 4 years of mechanical engineering experience within a consulting environment.
• Proven experience leading mechanical engineering solutions across diverse projects.
• Strong technical expertise in mechanical engineering principles and practices.
• Chartered Engineer status is an advantage.
