Senior People Partner - APAC

About the role

Boku, which connects digital businesses to local payment methods across 60+ countries, is looking for a Senior People Partner to act as its trusted partner for the APAC region. The role works with people managers through to senior executives to shape people strategy, drive organisational effectiveness and support growth. It is based in the Singapore office and is hybrid, with in-office collaboration Tuesday to Thursday.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders across APAC to align people strategy with business objectives.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels and coach leaders on organisational effectiveness, leadership capability, performance and engagement.
• Use people data and analytics to identify trends, give insights and recommend actions.
• Support talent management and succession planning, and partner on organisational design and transformation projects.
• Champion a high-performance culture and support business transformation and change programmes.
• Work with the global People team to keep a consistent employee experience while adapting solutions for regional needs.
• Guide leaders across the employee lifecycle in a diverse range of APAC markets and contribute ideas to improve the People function.

Required profile

• Significant experience in a People Partner, HR Business Partner or similar strategic HR role.
• Experience supporting leaders across the APAC region and partnering with geographically distributed teams.
• Demonstrated experience leading people initiatives across talent, organisational change, performance and engagement.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Strong stakeholder management and the confidence to influence, coach and challenge senior leaders.
• Confidence using people data and analytics to inform business decisions.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, able to present recommendations to senior leadership.
• Nice to have: experience in fintech, payments or another high-growth technology business, and knowledge of AI and automation trends in HR.
