Senior Planner I (Materials)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Planner I (Materials) to ensure that all material purchases align with customer requirements and support uninterrupted production at Sanmina. The role combines strategic planning, data‑driven risk management and mentorship of junior planners.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase materials in accordance with end‑customer specifications and maintain 100 % production uptime.
• Monitor part availability and logistics to avoid bottlenecks, ensuring the right part is at the right place at the right time.
• Identify and manage excess and obsolescence (E&O) early, using data insights to reduce financial waste.
• Create and execute purchase orders with high data integrity in the ERP system.
• Leverage AI tools to automate routine reporting and flag supply risks before they affect production.
• Streamline manual “paper‑trail” processes through automation or digital workflows.
• Lead resolution of critical supply‑chain issues and act as a technical advisor for junior planners.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Business Studies, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing or a comparable industry.
• Strong business acumen, analytical mindset and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of MRP systems.
• Experience with Kinaxis (RR) and Oracle ERP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with AI‑based reporting and automation tools.
