Senior Quality Control Manager

About the role

The Senior Quality Control (QC) Manager will lead daily laboratory operations, advanced analytical testing, and equipment systems within a pharmaceutical environment. This role ensures compliance with GLP, GDP, cGMP, and internal standards while fostering a culture of operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily lab activities and manage a QC team of up to 40 members.
• Oversee QC quality systems, regulatory readiness, and internal/external audits.
• Lead analytical method transfer, validation projects, and stability programs.
• Drive Lean/Six Sigma, Right First Time (RFT), and Statistical Process Control (SPC) initiatives.
• Manage laboratory budgeting, CAPEX planning, and EHS safety culture.
• Act as QC subject‑matter expert for production, supply chain, and other departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Microbiology, or related field.
• 8–10+ years of progressive QC experience in the pharmaceutical sector.
• At least 5 years of leadership or people‑management experience.
• Deep expertise in analytical chemistry, method validation, and data integrity.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with LIMS, HPLC, GC, and Empower software.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP and GLP environments.
• Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma, Right First Time, and Statistical Process Control.
