Senior Resident Technical Officer – M&E Supervision

About the role

The Senior Resident Technical Officer (SRTO) will lead the supervision of construction projects, ensuring strict compliance with statutory codes, quality standards, and project timelines. This role focuses on coordinating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) works, maintaining accurate site records, and resolving on‑site issues to support successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Apply statutory codes and regulatory requirements to supervise all site activities, guaranteeing compliance and quality control throughout each construction phase.
• Analyse site conditions and project data, producing clear verbal and written progress reports and issue logs.
• Maintain up‑to‑date site records documenting work progress, interface coordination, and MEP system installations.
• Proactively identify, resolve, and manage site issues in collaboration with project teams to maintain workflow and safety.
• Coordinate frontline inspections for MEP works, ensuring accurate record‑keeping and adherence to project specifications.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of relevant Resident Technical Officer experience, with at least 8 years supervising complex construction works.
• Experience in major building construction or utilities services, including laying, testing, and commissioning of systems.
• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical discipline from a Polytechnic or equivalent qualification.
