Senior Software Engineer – Google Pay

About the role

Google Pay is expanding its core features for over 250 million users in India. The Singapore‑based team drives reliability, growth, and multi‑million‑dollar business streams for critical user surfaces. As a Senior Software Engineer you will own large‑scale product areas, building next‑generation features that scale to millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Write, test, and ship production‑ready code for backend and mobile platforms.
• Lead or participate in design reviews, evaluating technology choices with peers and stakeholders.
• Review code from other engineers, ensuring adherence to style, testability, performance, and security best practices.
• Collaborate across cross‑functional teams to improve reliability, performance, and user experience of Google Pay.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of software development experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• At least 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• 2 years of full‑stack development covering backend (Java, Python, Golang, or C++) and mobile (Android, iOS, or Flutter).
