About the role

Join Zén, a celebrated 3‑Michelin‑star restaurant located in a restored three‑story shophouse in the heart of Singapore. As a Senior Sous Chef you will work directly with the Head Chef to uphold the restaurant’s reputation for exceptional quality, creativity, and consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to Zén’s culinary standards.
• Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu execution, ingredient selection, and plating techniques.
• Supervise food preparation, mise en place, service flow, and kitchen closing procedures.
• Monitor ingredient freshness, handling, and storage to maintain quality and safety.
• Lead, motivate, and mentor the kitchen team, delegating tasks and providing on‑the‑job training.
• Identify and resolve operational issues promptly to maintain efficiency.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie, preferably in fine‑dining or Michelin‑starred establishments.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Highly organised, disciplined, and capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to mentor junior staff.
• Commitment to the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations.
