SEO & GEO Lead

About the role

Verz Design is seeking an experienced SEO & GEO Lead to head its search practice. You will shape strategy, guide execution, and develop the team while expanding the company’s capabilities in AI‑powered and generative search.

Key responsibilities

• Lead SEO strategies to boost organic visibility, qualified traffic, leads and conversions.
• Oversee technical SEO, on‑page optimisation, content SEO, keyword research, internal linking and authority building.
• Provide recommendations on site architecture, URLs, redirects, canonicalisation, crawlability, indexation, sitemaps and structured data.
• Drive complex technical initiatives such as website migrations, JavaScript SEO, Core Web Vitals, page‑speed optimisation and schema markup.
• Develop content and topic strategies aligned with search demand and client objectives.
• Review backlink profiles and guide off‑page SEO tactics.
• Lead GEO and AI‑search strategy, conduct AI visibility audits, citation‑gap analysis and competitor research.
• Collaborate with account managers, developers, content teams and other digital functions to deliver measurable results.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in SEO with strong technical and strategic expertise.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to manage and develop a multidisciplinary team.
• Hands‑on experience or strong interest in Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and AI‑driven search platforms.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate algorithm updates into actionable plans.
