Shipping Cell Lead

About the role

The Shipping Cell Lead oversees all shipping activities within a distribution centre, ensuring compliance with quality, safety and continuous‑improvement standards. The role coordinates the shipping team, prioritises daily work and collaborates with traffic, compliance and order administration teams to meet delivery commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and escalate shipping issues to the supervisor or manager.
• Delegate tasks to a dynamic team of 5‑6 members and ensure proper training before assignments.
• Prioritise daily shipping requirements and align work with traffic, compliance and order administration teams.
• Maintain adherence to environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Provide detailed feedback on tester yields and product performance to AOC support staff.
• Update charts, graphs and present metrics during daily Gemba walks.
• Lead continuous‑improvement events to achieve departmental savings targets.
• Monitor and achieve daily packing & shipping KPI targets.
• Prepare month‑end closing reports and handle ad‑hoc tasks from superiors.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in a distribution‑center environment.
• Proactive problem‑solver with strong decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently while guiding and mentoring team members.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, walk, pack, and lift up to 23 kg.
