Site Engineer

About the role

The Site Engineer supports the Project Manager by overseeing daily site activities, ensuring that construction progresses on schedule, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and review the master construction programme and develop catch‑up plans when needed.
• Supervise engineers and foremen, ensuring compliance with quality procedures and workmanship standards.
• Check the quality and quantity of subcontractor work.
• Prepare detailed site programmes, method statements and work instructions.
• Resolve drawing discrepancies and technical issues in collaboration with the technical team.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments to manage manpower, material, and equipment demands.
• Liaise with consultants on structural work submissions.
• Plan site activities, forecast resources, and control waste.
• Promote and enforce safety practices on site.
• Identify schedule‑impacting problems and propose corrective actions.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in building, civil or infrastructure projects.
