Site Engineer – Residential Building Construction

About the role

We are looking for a Site Engineer to lead daily activities on residential building projects in Singapore. The role involves supervising construction works, coordinating with subcontractors and consultants, and ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities for residential building projects, ensuring work follows approved drawings, specifications, method statements and schedules.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and site teams to achieve smooth execution and timely completion.
• Monitor civil, structural and architectural works including excavation, reinforcement, formwork, concreting, masonry, waterproofing, tiling and finishing.
• Review construction drawings, identify discrepancies and work with consultants to resolve technical issues on site.
• Conduct site inspections to verify workmanship, materials and activities meet quality standards.
• Track project progress, manpower and material requirements, providing regular updates on status, delays and risks.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, workplace safety requirements and Singapore construction regulations.
• Prepare and maintain site documentation such as daily reports, inspection records, progress updates, RFIs, defect lists, testing records and handover documents.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant site experience, preferably in residential building construction.
• Good knowledge of civil, structural and architectural construction methods, sequencing and site coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical documents.
• Familiarity with Singapore construction practices, quality standards and workplace safety requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency in design software.
• Competence with Microsoft Office applications.
