Software Engineer – Android & Pixel SDLC

About the role

Google is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Android and Pixel Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) team. You will help shape the next‑generation, AI‑native SDLC ecosystem that powers Android and Pixel development, deployment, and release processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement foundational infrastructure, intelligent tools, evaluation methodologies, and metrics for Android and Pixel development.
• Build advanced automatic analysis and reporting tools to improve bug reporting, automation, and issue analysis.
• Leverage Google’s cloud computing and on‑device AI technologies to optimize functionality, stability, and release velocity of mobile devices.
• Develop data pipelines, perform Android performance diagnostics, and integrate AI/LLM solutions into mobile applications.
• Collaborate with engineers, researchers, and product managers across Google to drive AI‑driven improvements in the SDLC ecosystem.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C++).
• Proactive problem‑solving mindset and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive environment.
• Strong collaboration skills and passion for emerging AI technologies.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field and experience in large‑scale software system development.
