Software Engineer – Building & Construction Authority

About the role

GovTech is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Building & Construction Authority (BCA) digitalisation team. You will help create and maintain software solutions that enable smarter, more sustainable construction practices across Singapore’s built environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain features across multiple components of BCA’s digital platforms.
• Write clean, well‑tested, high‑performance code that meets reliability goals.
• Participate actively in code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and team rituals, sharing feedback and best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross‑functional peers to deliver user‑centric solutions.
• Contribute to documentation, shared tooling, and a healthy codebase culture.

Required profile

• Enjoy building software that is clean, maintainable and reliable.
• Comfortable working independently on moderately scoped tasks.
• Committed to writing well‑tested code and familiar with modern testing and CI practices.
