Solution Architect

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead end‑to‑end technical design for large, complex Application Development & Maintenance (ADM) and Application Managed Services (AMS) programmes within the public sector. You will translate government agency requirements into robust, scalable, and secure architectures covering applications, integration, data, and cloud.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full architecture design for large‑scale ADM/AMS programmes, addressing application, integration, data, and infrastructure/cloud considerations.
• Convert client requirements, existing IT landscape, and business objectives into clear high‑level and low‑level design artefacts.
• Apply architecture frameworks such as TOGAF to ensure consistency, scalability, and maintainability.
• Define reusable components, patterns, and technology choices that meet public‑sector constraints (security, data residency, compliance).
• Engage with government stakeholders during solutioning, pre‑sales, and bid activities, providing technical advice and contributing to proposals.
• Partner with Business Analysts, Project/Delivery Managers, and engineering teams to ensure the delivered solution aligns with the intended architecture.
• Support governance activities, including design reviews, architecture review boards, and quality assurance.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and delivering complex, large‑scale solutions for public‑sector or enterprise environments.
• Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively across cross‑functional teams and manage architecture‑level risks.
