Senior Software Engineer – Google Pay (Ask)

About the role

Google Pay’s Singapore team powers core features for over 250 million users in India. As a Senior Software Engineer you will own end‑to‑end user flows in the Flutter‑based app, focusing on performance, latency and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain key surfaces of the Google Pay app using Flutter, Dart and native Android/iOS components.
• Optimize UI performance and integrate Remote Procedure Calls (RPC) for backend services.
• Design, implement and own complete user flows with an emphasis on low latency and high reliability.
• Collaborate with product, UX and data teams to deliver features from concept to production.
• Work with Java, Python, Golang, C++ and AI‑agent prompting technologies as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
• 3+ years of experience testing, maintaining or launching software products.
• 1+ year of experience in software design and architecture.
• 3+ years of experience with performance analysis, debugging and visualization tools.
• 3+ years of full‑stack development experience on back‑end codebases such as Java, Python, Golang or C++.
• Preferred: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or related field, and experience building systems that scale to millions of users.
