Supplier Account Manager – Commodity Strategy

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Supplier Account Manager (B4) to lead commodity strategy and supplier relationship management in Singapore. The role will support the supply base, drive alignment with product lifecycle processes, and resolve systemic supply chain challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Aligns and implements commodity strategies.
• Manages the maintenance of agreements with suppliers that structure all business relationships.
• Engages with the PLC process to ensure alignment with commodity strategies.
• Handles new supplier introduction and disengagement requirements.
• Supports resolution of systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery, or lead‑time.

Required profile

• Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline.
• Has knowledge of best practices, market competition, and integration with other areas.
• Acts as a resource for less‑experienced colleagues and may lead small projects.
• Solves complex problems and exercises judgment based on multiple information sources.
• Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own and related teams.
• Communicates difficult or sensitive information and works to build consensus.
