System Analyst – Wholesale Banking (Techno‑Functional Data Domain)

About the role

We are seeking a highly capable System Analyst with deep expertise in Group Wholesale Banking, covering Financing Solutions, Trade Services, Cash & Liquidity Management and Treasury. The role will act as a techno‑functional leader in the Data Domain, aligning data solutions with business priorities and driving value through data‑driven insights.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders across Wholesale Banking, Retail and Global Markets to gather and analyse requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for data solutions.
• Design, validate and document data models such as Teradata FSDM, dimensional models and reporting tables.
• Perform data profiling, write SQL query scripts for analysis and testing, and map data attributes from core systems (Silver Lake, FITAS, Murex, SAP GL).
• Develop functional specifications, solution designs and training manuals.
• Create and execute test strategies to ensure data quality and solution integrity.
• Collaborate with data architects, engineers and product teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
• Provide analytical insights and recommendations to support strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Functional Business Analyst or System Analyst in banking, preferably Wholesale Banking.
• Strong techno‑functional expertise in data architecture and business analysis.
• Deep understanding of Wholesale Banking products, regulatory compliance, AML/CFT, sanctions and fraud risk management.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑engagement skills.

Required skills

• Teradata (FSDM) and dimensional modelling.
• SQL scripting and data profiling.
• Data modelling for enterprise‑scale solutions.
• Experience with Silver Lake Core Banking, FITAS Trade Finance, Murex Treasury and SAP GL.
• Familiarity with data governance, data quality and metadata management.
