System Engineer – High Performance Computing (HPC)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced System Engineer specialized in High Performance Computing (HPC) to join our Singapore office. You will design, deploy, and maintain large‑scale Linux‑based HPC clusters that support research, academic, and enterprise workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, operate and maintain Linux‑based HPC clusters, including compute, storage and high‑speed networking.
• Manage job schedulers such as Slurm, PBS Pro and LSF.
• Maintain parallel file systems (Lustre, GPFS/Spectrum Scale, BeeGFS) and data‑lake solutions (VAST).
• Implement hierarchical storage management (DMF) and oversee cluster provisioning tools.
• Perform system monitoring, patching, upgrades, capacity planning and on‑call support.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS and network issues across the HPC environment.
• Collaborate with software engineers to support AI/DL applications and assist desktop engineers with user needs.
• Provide guidance on HPC application development, debugging, optimization and parallelization.
• Deliver user training sessions and contribute to documentation and best‑practice guides.
