Key responsibilities
- Hands-on testing and integration of the product system: hardware, software, chemistry/reagents, consumables and application components.
- Design and run experiment protocols to optimise end-to-end workflow performance.
- Run the Design Verification Test (DVT) to verify product requirements and carry out engineering studies for workflow optimisation and testing.
- Use analytical tools (JMP, R, Python, etc.) to analyse and interpret experimental data on workflow and assay performance.
- Organise and present experimental data clearly and concisely.
- Contribute to hardware, software or workflow configurations for V&V studies and investigate and resolve system and subsystem technical problems.
- Help draft development documentation such as engineering study reports and workflow instructions.
Required profile
- Understanding of microarray/sequencing/library preparation technology, molecular biology, biochemistry and genetics.
- Wet-lab experience in a molecular biology/biochemistry lab with sound laboratory skills.
- Preferred: hands-on experience planning and running design of experiments (DOE) for workflow optimisation and root cause investigation.
- Detail-oriented, organised and highly motivated, able to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment and with cross-functional teams.
- Typically 0-2 years of related experience with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a related field.
- Not mandatory: previous experience with Illumina sequencing/microarray products, Python or other tools for large data analysis, or liquid handling robots.
Required skills
- Proficiency in standard computer skills and statistical packages.
- Solid communication, presentation and writing skills.
