Talent Development Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Talent Development Specialist to design and deliver learning, capability and leadership programmes for our trading, commercial and functional teams. The role sits within the People function and works closely with desk heads and business leaders to build talent pipelines from graduate intake to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Own the design and delivery of the firm’s talent development curriculum across trading, operations and corporate functions, covering technical onboarding to leadership programmes.
• Build and run the trading academy and graduate development pathway, partnering with desk heads to translate commercial capability into structured learning.
• Design leadership and management development programmes for high‑potential and senior populations, including succession planning inputs.
• Establish competency frameworks and capability assessments to provide clear visibility of skills, gaps and development priorities.
• Manage relationships with external training providers, coaches and accreditation bodies, ensuring measurable outcomes.
• Partner with HR business partners and talent acquisition to align development planning with performance, mobility and retention.
• Track and report on programme impact, using data to demonstrate learning’s effect on performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in talent development, learning and development, or organisational development, preferably within trading, energy, commodities or other performance‑driven environments.
• Track record of building programmes from the ground up rather than merely administering existing ones.
• Excellent facilitation and stakeholder‑management skills across a matrixed, international business.
