Team Lead – Systems Engineering (m/f/d)

About the role

NACOS Marine is looking for a Team Lead, Systems Engineering to head a multidisciplinary group of OT Systems Engineers. The team works on navigation, automation, OT networks and cyber‑security solutions for vessels worldwide. You will be responsible for both people leadership and technical contribution, ensuring high‑quality deliveries while supporting the professional growth of your engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and mentor a team of OT Systems Engineers across navigation, automation, network and cyber‑security domains.
• Plan and coordinate team activities together with Project Managers, guaranteeing on‑time and on‑spec delivery.
• Take accountability for overall team performance and the quality of its outputs.
• Provide technical guidance and intervene on complex solutions when required.
• Represent the engineering team in customer meetings and stakeholder discussions.
• Manage resource allocation and workload balancing across the various engineering disciplines.
• Promote a collaborative, safety‑focused and continuous‑improvement culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic or Software Engineering with a focus on OT systems.
• Minimum three years of experience in the marine or OT industry.
• Proven experience leading, coordinating or mentoring a technical team.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a systematic, team‑oriented work approach.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus.
