Technical Officer – Backend & Frontend Maintenance

About the role

The Technical Officer will support both backend and frontend maintenance of traffic management systems across Singapore. Working closely with the Backend Lead and Frontend Lead, you will ensure high availability of critical infrastructure, perform preventive and corrective tasks, and provide 24/7 on‑call support.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Backend Lead with preventive maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance (CM) and calibration of backend subsystems.
• Support the Frontend Lead with CM works for frontend subsystems, including speed cameras.
• Provide technical services to troubleshoot and maintain routers, firewalls, switches, servers, storage and workstations.
• Execute fault finding and diagnosis on mechanical and electrical breakdowns, maintaining ISO‑compliant records.
• Perform speed‑camera calibration and prepare monthly reports for client submission.
• Participate in technical proposals, system architecture drawings and tender documentation.
• Train team members on maintenance procedures and ensure procurement of reliable equipment.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints and operational issues professionally.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in network and traffic management equipment.
• Ability to work on‑site and be available for 24/7 on‑call duties.
• Good documentation skills and experience with ISO standards compliance.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a focus on timely incident resolution.
