L1 Network Engineer – Banking Sector

About the role

We are looking for an L1 Network Engineer to provide first‑level network support and monitoring for a bank’s IT infrastructure. The role involves monitoring network systems, troubleshooting basic connectivity issues, handling incidents and escalating complex issues to the appropriate teams.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the bank’s network, processes and change windows.
• Provide vendor access to network devices and ensure infrastructure is configured, installed, tested and operational.
• Perform checks, apply monitoring tools and respond to alerts.
• Deliver onsite technical support and field engineering services to clients.
• Execute network operations for BAU and projects, including performance and bandwidth monitoring during migrations.
• Collaborate with implementation engineers, L2/L3 engineers, vendors and project managers to resolve issues and ensure smooth deployments.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in network operations or technical support.
• CCNA certification is preferred.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 rotating shift environment, including weekends and public holidays.
