Technician – Double Side Polishing Machines

About the role

Excelitas is seeking a Technician to operate and monitor Double Side 12B polishing machines in a high‑tech manufacturing environment. The role supports the production of optical components for a range of industries, ensuring quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor Double Side 12B polishing machines according to work instructions and process specifications.
• Load and unload optical components, carriers, fixtures, and polishing consumables.
• Prepare polishing slurry and perform routine process adjustments.
• Conduct in‑process inspections and measurements to verify product quality.
• Record production and quality data accurately.
• Troubleshoot minor machine and process issues, escalating abnormalities when required.
• Perform equipment cleaning, basic maintenance, and housekeeping activities.
• Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures.

Required profile

• O‑Level, NITEC / Higher NITEC or Diploma in Engineering.
• Manufacturing or machine‑operation experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and strong safety awareness.
• Flexibility to work overtime, rotating or 12‑hour shifts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
